I have a STRONG preference for jobs located north of Redwood City

Which means cities in and around Redwood City,

Foster City, San Mateo. South SF, San Carlos, San Bruno.

But I will look at jobs as far south as San Jose and as far north as Novato

I am a US Citizen

A more "perfect" (if I wanted to change jobs) job would be closer to home

and let me work as senior manager of SQA or Test Engineering group.

I could also interested a individual contributor position

where my STRONG embedded 68k family skills and project leadership skills could be utilized

I have a strong background in hardware as well as software.

I have extensive embedded system, client server and GUI (C and/or VB) experience.

I also have guru level experience with Windows (3.1, Workgroup, 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP, Vista)

I would be responsible for the full development cycle.

I DO NOT want to develop a Database tool, but would like working on the front end of a Database tool.

Travel if any would be rare.

I have 11+ years of project managementexperience.

For the last five year I have managed two different SQA groups(2 to 10 team members).

At Excite@Home I managed the SQA effort for there new Email client (team 4 QA engineers)

I have personally recruited and hired software developers and QA engineers for my groups.

As part of my SQA duties I have created and put in place a complete

Software Quality Assurance plan to monitor software development cycle.

That process includes code walkthroughs, meeting coding standards,

proper use of source control tool, and

that the developers execute & document there unit (white box) tests.

The SQA teams perform black box & white box tests, and full validation & verification to design requirements

I work closely with 'product' managers and development

engineers in developing the detailed project schedules.

Once the schedule is established,

I am responsible to motivate staff to meet the our project millstones,

were needed bringing in resources from outside the group

I also designed and created SQA project web sites.

The SQA project web site was used to publish all project documents

and completed tests documents (test cases etc)
